Three Reasons Why Wow Is Better Than Dota

If you happen to be a little illiterate about Blizzard games and their custom maps, you might find these two acronyms to be a little puzzling as to what they actually stand for. To give you a little peace of mind, WoW actually stands for World of Warcraft – an award winning, record breaking, highly acclaimed and much loved MMORPG that has been developed by none other than the boys at Blizzard. It's a game that millions of people play on a daily basis; they usually even trade a solid number of hours of their real life to play in this alternate universe.

Now with DoTA, you can't really consider this as a game in itself per se, because well, it runs on the Warcraft III engine. DoTA, however, is one of the most enjoyable custom scenarios that players could ever wish to run on WCIII. It's the classic battle between good and evil or the sentinel and the scourge in this case. As enjoyable as DoTA is, it honestly isn't just quite as good as WoW, and for good reason as well.

1. World of Warcraft is a game complete with its own stories and scenarios.

That's the problem with Defense of the ancients or DoTa. It just doesn't have enough storyline and depth into the game. Sure, it may be quite addicting and enjoyable to play, but it just lacks a lot of key things like more playability and a whole lot of other aspects and features of the game that keep it interesting, fresh and intriguing.

WoW has everything that anyone could ever need in a game. It's jam packed with some battles against other players and Non-playing characters (NPCs) that keep you occupied as you try to complete your quest and gain rewards and experience at the same time for your character to become more awesome. The bottomline is that WoW has a lot more things for gamers to tinker and explore with than DoTA – not that we don't enjoy the occasional battle.net game every now and then that is.

2. You get to play with more people.

And we're talking about a lot of people. You see, with DoTA, you're only limited to a maximum of 10 players for every round whereas in the World of Warcraft, you could even go up as high as a 25-man raid depending on certain dungeon or instance quests that call for it.

Aside from that, you are actually playing with thousands of other players whenever you log on to your WoW server, allowing you to meet a lot of new people. This makes the game a lot more exciting and worth playing since it never gets boring.

3. You can do a whole more things in WoW than in DoTA.

Okay, so maybe the World of Warcraft may have an unfair advantage being it a fully developed MMORPG when DoTA is only a custom scenario map, but the fact remains that in WoW, it's actually as if you are in an alternate universe that allows you to do everything from eat, fight, travel and even dance if you feel like it.
