Four Games Of Old That You Might Want To Play Until Now
The video game industry has been around for quite a while now. From its humble beginnings with Donkey Kong, Mario, Tetris and many other games, the video game industry has come a long way making a name for itself in today's world.
Nowadays, games have been centered around two things - game play and the graphical aspect of the game. Not too long ago, game developers were limited to older consoles like the Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Dream Cast and many others. They didn't have the power and technology of today's gaming consoles but they still proved to be quite popular. How about we revisit some of those games that has captured our hearts and captivated our minds back in a time where online play and voice chat was thought to be impossible for gaming. Let's take a look at some of the most enjoyable games ever created for the PSX console.
1. Final Fantasy VII
Who could ever forget an epic game such as Final Fantasy VII. This tale that involves the adventures of our troubled hero, Cloud Strife, and his band of unlikely heroes has proved to be one of the most popular installments of the Final Fantasy series. This has spawned off so many games, cartoons and movies that it might seem like this has been the most successful Final Fantasy game of them all. From all the Materia searching, to Chocobo breeding and fighting the seemingly impossible to defeat emerald and ruby weapons, to finishing the game about 5 times, this game never gets old and it's still quite enjoyable to play nowadays, that is if your old PSX is still functional.
2. Resident Evil 2
Who could ever forget about Leon, Claire and all those Lickers around Raccoon city? Resident Evil 2 has got to be one of the creepiest games ever to have been created for the PlayStation platform. Don't get misled though because this game isn't just all about morbid images and gory corpses. This game has got its own share of tricks, riddles and a whole lot of strategy to be thought of for you to get through this game still alive. Oh and did we mention to be careful about your bullets, herbs and those first aid kits? You wouldn't want to be running out anytime soon.
3. Mega man Legends
Any game about mega man is quite awesome in its own right. In this installment, you get to be able to use mega man outside a 2d environment. And you can finally modify his weapon systems to whatever you choose. It's no Final Fantasy, but this game is still very entertaining and challenging to boot.
4. Metal Gear Solid
Rewind the clock a few years, way before snake eater, sons of liberty or guns of the patriots. And we find ourselves swimming towards shadow Moses Island, trying to infiltrate the base occupied by FOXHOUND where we desperately try to rescue the DARPA chief. It's where we find ourselves introduced to such interesting individuals such as Otacon, Meryl, and Revolver Ocelot. Heck, even Liquid plays a really good role here no matter how annoying he gets.
