A Few Games To Look Out For In The Near Future
Whoever said that the people who will rule the world at the turn of the century are geeks is absolutely right on the money. The world as we know it has greatly changed the way it operates. With computers up and running left and right in homes, offices, warehouses and even planes, it is not that hard to come up with a reason why geeks are arguably poised to take the thrown as to whom would be rightfully called the heirs of our time.
As far as games are concerned, there is no confusion as to where one can find the better players. Let's face it; a football jock in real life may have the possibility of actually not standing a chance against a hardened gamer in the same sport when they face off in a video game.
So, about games, what's in it for us and the millions of other geeks around the world that share the same passion as we do? We surely are in for a treat; check out these games that are bound to hit stores near you in the near future.
1. Starcraft 2 or SC2 as many avid gamers would like to call it.
It's one of the most loved gaming franchises of Blizzard, Starcraft. Apparently, the guys over at Blizzard seem to have found the way to make every single game that they develop into a masterpiece. A game that's so addictive, so entertaining, that millions and millions of fans around the world would line up for countless hours just so they could get their hands on their very own video game. Call it the Midas touch if you would, Blizzard surely has a whole lot of tricks up their sleeves.
Starcraft 2 is one of the most highly anticipated game sequels to ever be released. The best part of this is that it would be running on multiple platforms (it's time to jump for joy Mac users) and that this new release boasts of beefed up graphics, the same epic style of game play, and of course a whole lot of new additions to the game itself and the storyline – new heroes and factions, perhaps? We'll just have to wait and see till there are further developments.
2. Diablo 3 – boy does Blizzard know how to bring it!
Evil definitely just doesn't like to lose. Because apparently, despite the number of times we beat them down with swords, axes, traps and spells, they just keep coming back for more! You don't hear us complaining however, and it's also about time as well that the guys at Blizzard give something the fans have been praying and praying for nearly a decade of waiting for the story of the fight between good and evil in a time better off forgotten to continue.
Rumors has it that this game, actually boasts of free online multiplayer play – forever! Hopefully, these rumors would be true because this would be an unprecedented and a much-welcomed addition to the already award-winning gaming franchise.
