The King Of Iron Fist Tournament: Tekken
Tekken has been around for the PlayStation platform since its debut with the PSX. It has been one of the earliest three dimensional fighting games to have been developed. It has been a mainstay with the PlayStation gaming platform up until today with its latest release for the PlayStation 3. So what makes Tekken so appealing to the gaming population? Easy, just read through these.
1. It's a 3-D fighting game.
There aren't a lot of 3-D fighting games out there. Well maybe there is Dead or Alive and a couple of others. But none of these quite compare to Tekken. With so many characters that have in-depth backgrounds and a solid storyline, it's hard not to get hooked on this game. Once you finish one character, you're going to want to learn what the ending movies are of the rest.
2. You can play with your friends.
Sure, it's no sporting game, but you can still play Tekken with your friends. You can go one on one or play it in teams. Either way this is still a lot of fun especially when you and your friends are good at Tekken. Discover some cool moves with your friends that you hadn't come up with by yourself yet.
3. It's a great way to pass the time.
When you've got a lot of free time on your hands, try playing some Tekken. You can play this on your PS3 or on your PSP. This is quite handy especially when you need to kill some time while waiting for that bus, class or even your girlfriend.
4. The story is quite interesting.
If you've been playing Tekken since its early releases, you'll find out that this story keeps evolving and adds new characters to its plot. You will want to play almost all of the characters so you could have a grasp on what the whole story is about.
A handful of the most interesting characters that you will find in this game is Paul, Jin Kazama, Kazuya, Heihachi and Lei. They have been characters in Tekken that have stretched as far back as the first Tekken release. Some characters, however, like Jin and Lei have started to be fighting characters in Tekken a little bit later on the storyline. If Tekken were to be made into a movie, it'd be quite fun to watch.
5. Being really good at this game will make some jaws drop.
This isn't some ploy to get more people to play Tekken. This is actually quite true, no matter where you are around the world. You can find people playing Tekken in arcade games that find themselves being challenged by one person after another. What happens in the end? The challenger scratching his head, trying to figure out what went wrong in his game that ultimately led to his defeat. There are Tekken tournaments that award the best gamer too you know. Who knew there actually was a real King of Iron Fist Tournament huh?
